Descrizione
The publication is the result of a rigorous research project that has expanded our knowledge about the Uffizi drawing collection and allowed us to discover many artists, unknown to date. The project has been possible thanks to the Garcìa Support for the Fundacion MAPFRE drawing collections cataloging, granted to Gabinetto Disegni e Stampe degli Uffizi. The scientific management of the project was led by Benito Navarrete Prieto, professor of the University of Alcalà and expert in paintings and drawings from the Spanish Golden Age. The publication coincides with the exhibition of the same name, organized jointly by the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, Fundacion MAPFRE and Gabinetto Disegni e Stampe de las Gallerie degli Uffizi.
